Buyer linda moran teamed up in 1998 to create

kh studio designs inc.

 

FOR THE TREND CUSTOMER, emphasising fashion jewelry items that capture the tHEMES of each season.

FOR THE COLLECTIBLE CUSTOMER, designing more serious PIECES, SOMETIMES with BLOW TORCHES AND STEEL, creating ONE-OR-A-KIND AND LIMITED EDITION WEARABLE WORKS OF ART.

 

 

hwang, a native new yorker, is a GIFTED ARTIST AND HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED metalsmith, widely known for his signature sterling silver and RECYCLED glass jewelry collection (www.kennyhwang.com

his collection work has been featured in NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATIONS, INCLUDING vogue, elle, and bazaar and sold at  barneys, neiman marcus, saks fifth avenue, AND SPECIALTY BOUTIQUES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

hWANG entered the trend jewelry collaboration with "JUST a few seasons in mind", but continued on as his designs brought originality and substance to each collection, and HIS KH STUDIO trend JEWELRY business FLOURISHED.

 

 

Moran, originally from the pacific northwest, relocated with nordstrom IN 1990 TO OPEN THE PARAMUS NEW JERSEY LOCATION AS THE FASHION/BRIDGE JEWELRY BUYER.

FIVE YEARS LATER, AFTER OPENING MULTIPLE NORDSTROM NEW STORE LOCATIONS, MORAN LEFT HER 10 year career with the company, saying "leaving nordstrom was like leaving home for the first time".

she opened nyc showroom main floor inc. in 1996.  

The showroom evolved from representing MULTIPLE designer jewelry and accessories collections to SOLELY representing kh studio designs with moran overseeing merchandising and product development for the brand.
